Got the New motor home .... now the fun begins!

Well i had to get a freind of mine to drive over 200 miles to the middle of no where California, but the motor is home and looking pretty i must say.

I still have to get some stuff before i get started but man i cant wait to get this puppy in and running. I will post all the pics as i go .... for now heres the pics of the motor.

She's a 5.3L GenIII out of a '03 Silverado. I'm going with a 4L60 tranny cuz i got it for free. The motor has 40K miles on it and cam with the whole wiring harness and all accessories plus the O2 Sensors. All for $1500.00 ...cant complain.

Tell me what you guys think!

Here she is.

Sounds like a hell of a deal.

Seems like a GenIII is the way to go these days. Consider me quite jealous.

motorhome ..LOL

As far as GenIII goes, i decided to make the swap for allot of reasons. The main one being the price i got the motor for of course but the other being that they are reliable, get better gas mileage, and lets face it ..... it takes less work to get more horsepower out of them. Little head work ... new cam ...and i am good to go. Then in a few months slap a hair dryer on it !
