front end brakes
I have a 79 1/2 ton that swerves to the right when I apply brakes, can anyone tell me why? I have installed new brakes,calipers,booster,master cylinder, prop. valve. wondering if it could be the left brake line not getting enough fluid??

First thing to do is a good bleed on the brakes.

Sounds like you need to invest in new hoses. If that doesn't do it I don't have a clue.

I agree with krue on the hoses, Sounds like the right one is collapsing internally restricting fluid flow under pressure.

Hoses will do exactly what you've described once one has swollen internally.

id still bleed the brakes good after installing the hoses and do both so you know both are good.. other thing is to make sure tire pressure is same and good in the tires and that all tires are the same size

Thanks for the info, ya'll so helpful, will jump on the hose project here pretty quick. This site ROCKS, beats going to local shops to ask and then get @!@#$% around!!! know what I mean.

Yo Bro how you doing
 , checked out my 83 shop manual for brakes and it gave these things to check:Restricted brake fluid passage or sticking wheel cylinder piston. Air in system. Sticking caliper pistons. Sticking wheel cylinder. Glazed brake linings. Sounds like what everybody else has been saying, brake lines or air in the system  In Visalia huh, glad to see more locals on the board 75 Silverstep is out of Tulare. John |

If the truck is pulling to the right... your LEFT brake hose is more likely collapsing internally=replace. If you have the extra money... replace the the right side at the same time; you'll be doing it soon.
