Re: WTB: 4x4 Dipstick and Tube
I just had a new crate 350 EFI put into my 72 blazer and remember seeing the dipstick in the spare parts pile.
I have no idea what a fair price for the dipstick and tube is. Anyone have any ideas? How soon do you need it as it is sitting 200 miles away from me.

Re: WTB: 4x4 Dipstick and Tube
Vince,
This type is specific to, I believe, 69-72 4x4 with brake power booster. The motor is set further back and the booster blocks the access to a normal dipstick. Sorry don't have any pictures... Last edited by D.PASSMORE; 05-15-2007 at 06:34 PM. |

Re: WTB: 4x4 Dipstick and Tube
When I get a picture I will send it to you. It did seem like both the alternator and power brake booster were in the way.

D. I think this is a picture of the dipstick you are looking for. This is on a 72, 350 ci, 4X4.

Re: WTB: 4x4 Dipstick and Tube
Das it, looks to be in good shape. Question, does the peice that wraps around the tube, hole in the end, bolts to the manifold. Is it a double peice of metal or just a single peice tacked to the tube? A fair price is $75.00 for a very good piece(set-up) and decent to good piece is $50.00 to $60.00 US dallors. And thens there is shipping from your location... Let me know

Let's call it decent to good and split the difference at $55 USD. I can grab it from my parents place on May 26th to box it and get a shipping cost. Also, at that time I can look at it to make sure it is in good enough shape.
