Power steering pulley

Do all trucks, suburbans. K5, all come with the larger 7" power steering pulley as opposed to the passenger car pulley at 5 3/4"??

why would trucks have the bigger pulley whats the reasoning here?

Re: Power steering pulley

Actually if the pulley is larger, the rotation is slower than the passenger car. So my guess would be that the thought si that the car is done that way to get more room.

Re: Power steering pulley

I was thinkin that its because trucks dont turn as quickly as cars and the steering gear boxes are different because of this.
