anticipation got to me

I couldn't wait any longer on my truck. I bought a '68 Short wide bed with factory ac. Hell yeah. I am still waiting on my shop to get built (finished in the next 3 weeks) and I could not wait to start tearing into my truck. I gutted the interior, unbolted the bed, and tore the front end down to frame and suspension. Truck is sitting in the driveway waiting on my wife to flip out over this one. I have an 88 donor suburban. Everyone I have talked to said that the upper and lower control arms will bolt direct to my truck so I can run disc brakes and get rid of the drums. I will be using the motor (350 TBI w/15k), the 700R4 trans, drive shaft will be cut to fit, and rear end will be cut to fit ( for 5 lug conversion ). I will also try to salvage the pwr window setup and the digital shaft style radio. I will also be doing a 2/4 drop. Can't allow myself to put a truck on the ground. I will also be shaving the drip rails off the cab, relocating the gas tank, (a must) installing a wood bed, and filling the holes from all the body moulding. (gotta be smooth) If anyone sees any problems in the plans let me know. I am pretty new to restoration. I will try to keep this running because I will have a ton of questions for all of you guys. I will also be posting pics once there is something to see. I am chomping at the bit to get my shop up and running so I can tear this truck apart. It will be a complete frame off. I just put my sand blaster together the other day so I can clean up the frame and all the small places the grinder just won't reach.

Do you have an invisible truck?? All trucks are worth posting pics of. Especially ones that are torn apart!
