Sway Bar Bushings- Moog

Do the front sway bar bushings (blue moog ones) need to be greased when installed? Mine slipped right on so I didn't grease them. Should I have?

Re: Sway Bar Busshings- Moog

I looked at the Moog web site when I bought mine for this same reason.

According to their site, they do not need greased because they are NOT urithane. They are some kind of plastic that does not need greased.

the instructions in the package says to not use a "rubber" lube, so no KY in there.

Re: Sway Bar Bushings- Moog

Hope they don't get mad at me...but I took this from the Moog website.

"Our advanced thermoplastic bushings absorb vibration and noise and
deliver better handling and longer life, while providing the performance
of urethane without the “squeak” normally associated with it. They are
not affected by oils, alkalines, ozone or hydrocarbons; can withstand
extreme weather conditions; can carry substantial loads; and will not
discolor or crack with age."
