Market for saddle tanks?

I am thinking about making a custom 45 gallon fuel tank for my 70 lwb. When I pull my saddle tanks, is there a market for them? Didn't find any on e-bay to price check.

Probably some 285/75/16 Toyo m/t's on my stock rims coming up.

Re: Market for saddle tanks?

Under the bed. I am thinking that with a 1" body lift in addition to my 2" add a leaf I can put 35" tires under it AND get a decent sized tank under the bed with room to run the fill.

Re: Market for saddle tanks?

The problem that I ran into was the heat from the exhaust and the drive shaft.
I want to see pics. I live in Nampa, where you at?

Re: Market for saddle tanks?

I don't think anyone is buying saddle tanks any more. I know that they don't sell them because of the safety issue.

Truck is now finished to the new owners design and running around.
I was shown some pictures of the finished product. At least it survived the junk yard.
