Re: Exhaust Clip

sounds good fellas.

I've run glasspacks for years, but now I'm starting to consider running some flowmasters, I like the deeper sound, and the glasspack pop or whatever is starting to bug me now. I never noticed them before on either truck, but on my car when I get the rpm's past 3k I notice them sounding like duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, when it's steady pedal pressure. Mainly off buildings, bridges and what not. We got a single in dual out flowmaster 40 on the 84 and it's quieter then glasspacks, which I don't like, yet it has a real nice deep and mean sound to it. I wonder if it be louder having full length headers and duals though.

Right now it has manifolds, y pipe, 2-1/2 pipe all the way back, and dual 2-1/2 out of the muffler.

My car runs full lengths, gutted cats, and like 2 inch or 2-1/4 pipe all the way back.

Truck has no cat. Like the sound but quieter then glasspacks, and bad resonance, only at certain times, heard it was around 2k, and my car is always at 2k around town. So I'm stuck.

Right now I'll keep my glasspacks, later I hope to find the right flowmaster, maybe super 40's or 44's.

I would post a sound clip but it's not of a 73-87 or truck at all, lol. So I guess I better not.
