driveline questions (Dana 44 67-76?, eaton ho52)

my k20 has the original dana 44 "big hub" front with 4:10s. im getting ready to put it on the road as a daily driver while i put the 89 on a new non-cracked frame.

question 1-
id like to lock the front and rear... can a front locker be run daily on the street without problems?

2-
wheres the best place to get drag link ends and tie rod ends? are they the same as any dana 44 or do i have to search for specific 1971 3/4 ton 4x4 pieces?

3-
are there seals made for the axles where they bolt to the drum? im getting tired of black stripes on my whitespokes!!

thanks in advance!

Not sure about the locker for daily driver. For my '71 K20 front end parts, I found the good Moog parts online at Rock Auto. It was cheaper than back ordering them here in town. You must be asking about the rear drums? Good luck.

Are you talking about the axle flange?I just use RTV.On front end parts,I just give vehicle info. The parts books will tell the parts guy what crosses over if that`s needed. On the locker in front...I wouldn`t.Alot of people don`t like them in therear for the road(I do).If they were ideal for road use, there`d be no need for all these other devices.Lockers work for traction, hands down. But,they`d crude for street use and take a "technique" to run.You won`t use the front often on the street. But,I think you`ll want a locker that can differentiate. There`s a thread, not too far back, about these. It may be in the Blazer section.I think it was Johnnywagon and Burts4x4 (others, too) that had installed the Loc-Right,iirc.
