Best shocks for a 3/4 drop?
I need new shocks and, since I have a 3/4 now, want to make sure I do the right thing when replacing the old stock ones. What's the recommended set-up? Do I need to relocate the shocks? Are there special shocks to order when you are lowered? Any and all info would be appreciated. -- mark Pic below just because I like seeing my truck

Re: Best shocks for a 3/4 drop?
I'd go with the shock relocater kit and the KYB shocks from ECE

I went with the Cal-Max from DJM,, good ride,, I like them, and NO relocatation of the shock either.

Can you all educate me about relocation: What's the reason? Is it mandatory? How hard is it to do? Etc., etc. Of course, I could go look this all up. But I am laaaaazy.

Re: Best shocks for a 3/4 drop?
relocation is easy for the rear shocks and the reason its done is to correct the angle of the shock to get the most out of what you're paying for// i went with the kbyshocks also the rear relocator

Re: Best shocks for a 3/4 drop?
Yes, only rears need relocators but you are borderline at 4" drop. The kit is the best deal if you decide to use the relocators. If you decide to buy shocks only, you can order KYB shocks from Advance Auto parts (with free shipping) cheaper than places like ECE.

Re: Best shocks for a 3/4 drop?
Thanks 70c10. I think I'm going with just the shocks since I'm only a 4" drop. Can't say how much I appreciate the responses/advice from all of you -- thanks!
