Question couple of questions

okay I'm wondering about a couple of things...tire size on a stock 1970 chevy C/10....it is a custom 10. I'm thinking 235/75R15...thats what I want to put on it but I figure the stock tire was smaller...what do you guys think? I know it was probably a metric size or a bias ply size. What do you guys think...I'm going original. Also I need some schemematics on the original AM radios if anyone has it...going to do a little conversion...thanks!!

Re: couple of questions

According to the GM resto guide the sizes for a 15" rim were G78-15, H78-15, or 7.00-15

Here's a link to a site that converts these to metric sizes;

Re: couple of questions

thank you guys...that link was really helpful. It should be added to FAQ section...turns out my truck probably came with 225/75R15...so thats what I'm going to go with. okay how about the schematics of the AM radio...I needing to know how to splice into the wire coming from the transmitter to the amp with lowlevel RCA cables to hook up my iPod. This should be pretty simple just have to find the right wire. I'm wanting to retain my factory AM radio and single speaker...but I want it to be a type of a sleeper..in the way that I will be able to hook my iPod to it...won't be the best sound quality...but at least I'll have tunes..lol. It will be kinda like what frizzle fry did but I'm going to use the amp from the stock radio to keep it all factory...he uses his radio as a means to control levels only. Any help with this would be appreciated, if I can get the schematics or figure out on my own the way to wire in the RCA's into the old unit I'll post it. Thanks
