ARB Air Lockers???
Does any one know anything about these things? It sounds like a good idea. I have a 1970 C-20 Camper Special and I have no idea wether it would fit or not. If it does what it says i definatly wanna get one. Thanks

It does EXACTLY what it says it does. However, In 99.9% of cases, especially if you drive a lot on the street or the drag strip, you'd be better off with a limited slip. The ARB is an excellent unit expecially well suited to the off-roader.

So you would not recomend it for a daily driver truck that likes to burn rubber and put those little imports to shame from time to time?

I thought the point of an ARB Air Locker was that it IS a limited slip when switched off, and a locker when switched on? To me this would be PERFECT for a daily driver / weekend warrior. Darren

The ARB Air Locker is completely locked, like a spool when engaged and completely open when disengaged. They are very expensive like Mike C mentioned and probably more suited for the off-roader.

The ARB is an open diff when switched off and it is a spool when switched on. Zero differentian or 100%. NOT what you want in a streeter. Go with a limited slip for the street. I like the EAton, but the Trak Lok or Power Lok (4 pinion) is excellent if you have a Dana 60.
