wanted pictures and comments of Trucks with Pearl finish
Hey guys and gals I am looking for pic and comments of trucks with pearl finish. I am thinking about white with the House of Kolor White pearl or maybe one of their other pearls over white. The truck is apart so I might be decide to go a completly different color. My truck is originally white. Sooo many decisions?
Thanks!!

Don't know about the NEW Pearls, but I had a car painted white pearl about 10 years ago, and, when it got vandalized, nobody would even try to match the pearl. I couldn't touch up chips, either. My insurance company paid for a new paint job.

pearl paint
I painted my pickup, which also was originally white, a GM Pearl Diamond Pearl so that I could match up the paint at a later date. The paint code came off a 95 Aurora and when I painted the "lid & hood", 4 years later, the paint didn't match up. I used a different body shop than the original paint shop and we found out that the primer that was used the first time was a different colour and that affected the final colour. They painted it again and did a fantastic job. Just remember to make sure that they paint the whole truck at the same time. Its a tri coat colour and requirs a good painter.

Custom - I agree with Busterwivell. My truck is painted a pearl white with a red tint.(Shows on the right side of the open door pic) The truck has been repainted on the passenger fender and box side. Now the door(original paint) is "whiter" then the front and back. I'm not a paint expert, but it has something to do with the rods and cones and how they reflect. Once you paint it, there is no easy fixes. I personally will never have a vehicle with pearl paint again. FYI - When it's done right and new - Awesome.

my truck is white with a purple pearl, its ok, its an older job done by someone who didnt know how to paint, it is orangepeeled to death, but nobody but painters notice, and it looks very very good at night under llights at car shows, i would post a pic but i don have a night time pic that shows the pearl, and mine is hard to see during day, i would GO FOR IT, if the painter is perfect, i saw a 68 here with a white with blue pearl that was awesome

My 67 is Starlight Black. It is black with White, Blue and violet pearls in it. I love it cause I wanted black but not plain black. If a painter knows what he/she is doing then it will match. 70% of new cars have pearl paint and we do alot of em and have very little if no problem with matches. Considering the paint doesn't get sprayed on the car til it matches makes a difference too. Just because you have a paint code doesn't mean it will match either. Alot of times you may have to tint the colors for hours to get it right, if its a difficult one. Paint brands can cause a difference too thats where the tinting comes into play. A drop too much or too little of tinting color can make worlds difference too. As well as the motions of the painter spraying for the pearl to lay out right.
