cargo lamp switch

I found this switch under the carpet of my truck Is it the right one for our trucks? I see a slot under the dome light where I assume it goes, but no screw holes. So do you take the dome light out put the switch on the inside and screw throught the plate on the outside? Also this switch is shot is there a good replacement? thanks for any help.
