1971 Suspension "raise"!!
Well I've had my 5" drop kit in my truck for a while now and just got some pictures in the computer. Let me say, wow what a difference. The PO torched the springs and left the rest of the stock stuff up in there and the kit I can't believe how nice it rides. Don't really have the time for a right up step by step and I'm sure there is one or two on here. Plus the instuctions were great to follow.
Pics!! Here is a before shot, I said "raise" for obvious reasons lol Picture of difference in upper shock mounts I just used a drill to get the factory rivots out and a mini sledge also. Here is an after shot The rest of the tear down was straight forward. I used a jack and two stands. Laugh now but here is a shot of the old suspension , I can't believe someone would do this and it adds to my dumbness for not looking underneath a truck before buying.

Re: 1971 Suspension "raise"!!
New springs and lower shock mount in Almost finished, just one more piece Here is it finished, just a couple of touch ups left. It's my DD so I didn't go through the prettiness on the rest of underneath. And the finished shots....I can't say enough how great of a ride it is. Not just for the front end ...and getting to the rest of the truck!! Thanks for looking!!
