Dash Pad

Some one please refresh me.. was there something tricky about removing the dash pad in my Burb... surely it cant be as easy at it looks....??

im not sure if its the same as the c-10's i hope it is so i dont look like a jackass, but after the phillips screws are taken out underneath the dash are some little screw off washers, there shhould be about 5 all along the dash.

Jodie, after the screws are out, there are 7 speed nuts from the back. Best thing is get the dash gauges out, and the glove box liner. There is one at each end that are kind of tricky to get to. They are 3/8". There will be one above the radio also... Good luck, Eric

the 2 end ones are 5/16 IIRC
And jodie, I can't remember if you have A/C or not... but if you do... be prepaired to have fun.

What's really fun is when you have UNDERDASH A/C, radio, electronic A/C controls, full ductwork and an alarm system crammed underneath there, and you have to put that sucker back on.

Reinstall with contact cement and hope for the best...LOL! I just installed a new one in the rat rod and decided that it did not need nuts on the back side at all...the misalignment and friction on the studs keeps it in place just fine. I know this goes against all common intuitioin but in time I will forget that I did not put nuts on it and if it falls off in my lap it is not going to create a very big problem.

Yeah...if your passenger wants to grab onto things and pull and mess with the truck...I just slap them...LOL!
