Question - SNB / step side bed

Does anyone have an idea on what my step side bed is worth based on the pictures below? The tail lights are 40' Chevrolet taillights. There isn't a bed floor though. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm putting on a fleet side bed on instead. Thanks.

I`d say less...no floor, modified frenched lights, filler in the sides all detract from the value unless it`s exactly what the buyer wants.(everyone wants a floor, though).I`ve seen solid all original beds go for $300 and you can see there`s no bodywork in them. What`s the condition of yours under the paint?

Re: Question - SNB / step side bed

You couldn't build one & paint it that nice for under 1500. I bought all new from Mar K bedsides front panel & tail gate..over 1,500. Paint was another 650..Bed floor was another 300-350. New step fenders another 500. You can easily invest 2500-3000 in a step bed painted that nicely. Good job.

Nice, not a fan of the lights so I'd be lowballing ya if I was buying,
all in all I'd say a solid $750 and that's if I could use that color

Re: Question - SNB / step side bed

As for the condition, the bed is perfect. Not a dent anywhere. There is a very light skim coat of filler to make the panels perfect as with any quality paint job. As for the paint, it'll need to be sanded and repainted anyway. It was painted in 1994 and has sat in the garage since then. The car cover has worn off the edges on the bed ends and not like it would match anything else out there.

As for the bed, you would think the new owner would like to pick out the wood and color for it. I was going to use painted steel strips instead wood but to each their own.

Thanks for the information, I'll see how it does on eBay. If anyone is interested send me a message with your offer. Due to the nature of it, pick up only. The bed is located in Ada, OK.

Re: Question - SNB / step side bed

That`s the other thing...cost of shipping. You`ll get the best buck on a local sale for sure. The cheap beds I`ve found,I could sell all day long back east for $800+.But,that`s what I`d have in them by the time I paid the $500+/- to get them here.Good luck on Ebay,or wherever.I agree it`s a beautiful bed and it`s true, the "no floor" won`t hinder a sale and leave choices to the buyer. It just has to be considered in the price.
