Interior Rear - Trim and bench clips
All,
I need some assistance finding two items for the interior back of my Jimmy. First is the back most carpet trim metal. It runs parallel to the tailgate, originally had a rubber gasket that sealed against the tailgate. I have circled the location where it would run in the pic below. Second is the front brackets that hold the rear bench seat. My truck has never had them, so I don;t know what they look like. The hole for the brackets is in front of the bench seat front supports. The bracket would have to reach back and over the steel tubing of the bench seat. I would appreciate your help. |

Re: Interior Rear - Trim and bench clips
Just go to a metal shop and a get piece of alum. angle (1" X"1) and install with countersunk chrome or stainless screws. No rebop on this piece. As to the seat I have one somewhere-will try to find it.

Re: Interior Rear - Trim and bench clips
I am going to try and fab something similiar to those clamps. The picture will help.
I don't do a lot of fab stuff, so this is a good little practice. Shouldn't be too hard. Thanks for the pic. |

Re: Interior Rear - Trim and bench clips
You can find those hold downs on Evil bay in the $50 range, or just make a
set like you said. That carpet strip is like the holey grail, if you find decent one it's gonna be way expensive $100+, or use the aluminum idea provided.

Sorry Matt, but you have to be a subscriber to post "want to buy" threads, and then they should go in the parts area. See my signature to subscribe.
