Does anyone have an idea as to which gear ratio is in my truck? Its a 71 custom camper with a dana 60.

depends on original drivetrain and the info listed on your spid label, just being a dana 60 does not point specifially to a certain ratio, as 67-72 dana 60 could be 3.54, 4,10 or 4.56
so......

what was original drivetrain in it and what model is it ? model code should be first item listed in the Rh side column

The model # is CE20934. It had a turbo hydramatic trans and a 350 according to the options sticker.

Chevy punk
3/4 ton ,350 engine,auto trans ,leaf springs.
Standard was 4.10 rear end .

Is it leaf, or H.D. coil?
What is your RPM at 60 MPH...and how tall are your tires?
I say pop the cover off the diff, chainge the oil, and count the teeth.

Thanks for your help. It hasn't ran since i've had it(i'm putting the engine in this weekend

) so i dont know the rpms, but it's not very important anyways, just curious. I'll have the diff cover off this weekend to change the lube so how do you find the ratio by counting the gears?

I have a Dana 60 leaf 10 bolt rear, the stock gears were 4.10 or 4.11

I was unaware Dana axles had bolt designations like GM Corporate axles.

nope...designated as dana 60, I think there was a 44 or something like that...ect.

I knew about the differing model numbers. Just never heard of the bolt designation before.

Posts: 470	I was unaware Dana axles had bolt designations like GM Corporate axles. __________________ '67 C20--427 tall deck/SM420, 4.10 HO52 (Michigan has not been kind to the Old Man) '95 Caprice--355 LT1/T56/3.42 8.5" 10-bolt (daily driver, almost 300k on the chassis) '07 Outback--wife's car. 125k & counting. No head gasket or transmission issues yet. fingers crossed
