Another brake Question!!!

I have a 1969 CST20 parts truck and a newly aquired '68 C10. The 69 has power drum brakes, the '68 has manual brakes. Can I use the master and booster off the '69 on the '68? What about the booster with a disc brakes master? If so, what master would I use for disc brakes? Thanks!

Re: Another brake Question!!!

I'm not 100%, but I think I've read about guys using a 3/4 ton booster/master cylinder. I think the 3/4 ton boosters are larger and provide better stopping power?? No clue about the booster w/ disc brakes master, though. Maybe this bump will yield some responses.

Re: Another brake Question!!!

so you have diskbrakes with a manual maincylinder .
i believe if you leave the cylinder on there and put the the booster behind with all the brackets hoses and stuff that goes on that it should work , it might brake a bit too mush even .
dont use a drumbrake master cylinder it will cause the diskbrakes to stay locked the diskbrakes dont have returnsprings like drumbrakes have and rely on the mastercylinder to pul them back in a bit
