Sam's 72
What kind of cam and converter are you running with the 700r4. I wasnt to know how people run a big cam with a higher stall converter with a 700. If your cruise rpm is less then stall speed your trans is going to slip. I need to know this cause I want to build a big block with a lopey cam and a 700

Dean23 I'm not sure what Sam72 is using. But to avoid the problem you are describing you'll want a lockup converter. The converter will lock when in overdrive. I've not used the 700r4 but I think they sell a retrofit wire harness to control the converter. It must unlock the converter when the brakes are applied and possibly when downshifting. I bet someone on the board knows the ins and outs of lockup converters for the 700r4. I nothing else this will get you back ttt.
