I kept seeing those Mother's comercials with Chip Foose using the Mothers powerball on some wheels, I figured if it's good enough for Chip, it's good enough for me, my wheels weren't looking so shiney anymore & when i looked close at them they were covered with fine scratch's that made the metel look dull, & was covered with water spots. I dreaded the thought of doing it by hand, last time I did that my back was killing me, so I bought the whole power ball package & decided to give it a try. I am very happy with the results, & it took less then 10 minutes per wheel. Check out the before & after pic's.

WOW, that looks great. My wheels look like your before picks. I just seen that kit the other day at the auto parts store and was wondering how well it worked. I know now, thanks for the pics.

I agree, the powerballs are worth the money! I've polished 3 sets of aluminum semi truck rims in the past month. They take about 25 minutes a piece with the powerballs and about an hour and a half by hand.

Never mind, even if it cost 100 bucks it's worth it. I HATE to hand polish my billet wheels.

Cool, I'm glad I could help you decide, the kit is the way to go cause just the 2 power balls come to $45-$50 the kit has both powerballs, the polish that's made for the power Balls & the extension, for around $45. I'm gonna try it on my billet steering wheel tomorrow, I'll post some before & afters for you guys & gals.

It might be more at your parts store, I talked the guy down, I think they wanted $60 for it, I buy crap there all the time, so he cut me a break.

I'm not sure I would try it on chrome, I guess it depends on where & how noticible the chrome your talking about, the polish that comes with the kit says its for all polishable types of metals, aluminum, brass, stainless steel, gold, silver & more, I would imagine that it's a little bit abrasive, & might scratch the chrome finish, maybe someone else has tried it on chrome, I wouldn't/haven't.

i agree power bal works good thats what i used on these valve covers i did half of one by hand then bought the powerball

Yeah i have the powerball and i love it... i use it on my aluminum wheels and all the chrome i have on my engine...

Jim....you don't have time for that. You have a pool to finish, a bathroom to enlarge and get that brake system completed on the truck before you even think about doing any wheel cleaning.

Anyone ever use it on a wheel that is only part shiny and part cast? I have a set of the old school turbo fans. The machined surface on the face and around the bead, I think would be fine. But the rougher surface between the fins I thought might tear that sponge ball to pieces. Any thoughts?

I'd love a set to do my wheels but you can't buy them here in the UK because of a copyright dispute over the powerball name. Apparently someone else owns it here.

I have the kit as well, best thing I've used on aluminum in my life. A huge time saver, and does an amazing job.

Cant you just get a board member to buy em for you and ship em? Maybe that would cost too much, I have no idea how much shipping to the UK costs. Course getting caught with a contraband power ball set up could get you locked up in the Tower of London, hanging from one of those metal cages with the spikes inside...

Cuban Cigars are perfectly legal here! We have a special prison for people that smuggle powerballs, they string you up by your wrists and have two powerballs set on a fast speed to buff your nuts up!
