My rear diff was leaking so I decided to change the cover and replace the fluid. Wasnt sure if it had a posi in it. Is this a posi unit? And how much fluid does it take?

Yes, you need a limited slip additive, or a gear oil that already contains the additive.

Lockers are better anyway. If you're not locked, you're stock! The Eaton Posi is a nice thing to have otherwise.

Re: rear end

Just for information. That is an Eaton you have their guy. I have one just like it in my 72. Have had to rebuild it several times. Had a heavy foot when I was younger. Good units, but not real strong. Like the guy said, Just fill it till it comes out the hole while the truck if level. If it starts klunking when you back up, add some additive to it. they use to sell whale oil for the clutches. Now it's synthetic.
