Memorial Day

May God bless all of you brave soldiers that have given so much to keep our country free. We know that there are alot of ignorant people out there that have no respect for our vets and have no idea what they have been through to make sure that we remain free but there are a hell of alot more of us that do respect you and appreciate what you have done for us.

God bless you all.....

Re: Memorial Day

It is nice to see the continuation of the admiration and appreciation for all of our heroes. I too want to offer my sincerest "thank you" to all of the bravest men and women offering their service to our great country. Without these brave individuals, we could not have what we have today.

Many thanks and sincerest appreciation.

God Bless You All!

If you have the time, here is a link to a video segment put together by a young girl. Be warned it is extremely moving.

Lizzie Palmer who put this YouTube program together is only 15 years old. There

have been over 3,000,000 hits as of this morning. In case you missed it,
here it is.

WOW!!! That is all I can say.

Re: Memorial Day

I agree everybody should be thankful for the freedoms we are given by the sacrificies of our servicemen both past and present. Everybody take a moment to reflect and enjoy your families and the day.

Re: Memorial Day

Thanks a lot guys, it means a lot to every vet. I lost a lot of friends while I was in Iraq so if you could take a minute to pray for them and their families I would appreciate it.

Re: Memorial Day

I also want to take time to remember and thank all of the men and women who serve in the armed forces. May we never forget that our freedom is not "free", It was bought and paid for in blood.

Re: Memorial Day

Amen, my wife and I went to Fort Logan, the military cemetary in Denver today to pay respects to her great grandfather and everyone else there. We usually go sometime over Memorial weekend but not usually on Memorial day it's self, it was very moving. God bless all who are serving and have served.

Re: Memorial Day

I'm occasionally out in public in my uniform, stopping for groceries on the way home or that kind of stuff. People come up all the time and say thanks for serving. It really makes me feel good to know that people care.

One of my Army buddies has a different view. He says you might as well thank a fish for swimming or a bird for flying, because we just do what we do because we are what we are.

In either case, I can't think of anything else I'd rather do. I'm thankful to my fellow veterans and to all of you who support us.
