I need help on this

I have asked befor but han no one answer maby there isnt an answer! I have a 1972 GMC short bed 4x4 and the box is shorter than a regular box . I am posative the bed hasnt been cut. I was told by a friend that chevy made some pickups with a shorter box around that year . Has anyone else herd of this . Im going to sell it and it could change my mind if it is rare!

Sounds like it could be a blazer frame with a truck body and the bed was cut down to fit... But yea, pics would help us solve your question...

If its way shorter than a longbed,and still shorter than a regular shortbed,then I agree with John Fabris...its sounds like a shortened truck body on a blazer frame.There was a shortbed 4wd.Quite common for the 72 year actually as compared to the 67-71 swb 4wds.What's the wheelbase? It could just be a shortbed 4wd.

no such thing as far as GM built.
Do you have any photos?
Do you know the wheel base?
Inside bed length?
