Oil the plug holes before start??

Hello

A birdie was telling me I should put oil down the spark plug holes when the truck sits for a while.

What do you guys think about it?

can it hurt

or bad idea

Couple of table spoon fulls is a good idea to lube up those dry rings. Won't hurt a thing.

Most Marine type places also sell a spray in fog for that same purpose for winterizing boat motors.

I have to re gap the plugs to 43 anyway.
