I've been posting in the 47-59 forum not realizing there was a separate 4x4 forum. Here is a link to my build photos. I've had the truck since 1976. Updated with 1974 K10 running gear and 283 in 1985. This time I am doing a frame off, adding power steering, power brakes, taking out all the rust new paint, etc. Enjoy. Patrick

Re: 59 Fleetside 4X4 progress
It`s cool that it`s a Fleetside. Most Napcos were Stepsides,so yours will really stand out(I know it`s not actually a Napco).

Re: 59 Fleetside 4X4 progress
Really cool truck. Can't wait to see it progress. For a while there was a early 60's 4x4 parked outside of a downtown apartment that really caught my eye - haven't seen it for a few months now which is kind of a bummer.
Welcome to the 4x4 forum!

Bump, I have added some more pics and narrative on the tranny and transfer installation to the main thread.

Re: 59 Fleetside 4X4 progress
UPDATE - I have started working on the 59 Fleetside after a years hiatus to work on a building I bought. So far this month I have got the gas tank installed and plumbed. The link does not work look for the thread titled "Lurker OrrieG ..." in the 47-59 Forum
