What gears do I have?
I was wondering what rear end gears I have. It is a 69 C-10 that came original with a straight six (now a V8) and a three speed manual. Also it came with posi. Brian Wolf

3.73 with that drivetrain unless glovebox door label says differently

No... just like Fast68 said.
No optional info on glove box... standard equipment was a 373 gear set in your truck.

and regarding 307 engines, 3.73 came in all 1968 307 trucks except with the M10 overdrive option ordered,

While we are on the subject, what would be the ratio on my 72 GMC 2wd be with a 350/350? If nobody can tell me this then maybe someone can tell me where to look on the rear end. Seems like someone said on the axle tube somewhere? Darren

3.07 onless otherwise stated in your glove box.
But that was 30 years ago...no telling what is in there now. I would pull the cover off, and count the teeth. The refill it. When was the lastt iem you chainged the oil in there anyways? ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350.
