Started to install the CPP front suspension pieces this week

I got a set of tubular front upper and lower A-arms for the 68 and I started the install of them this week. The truck has already had the front K member changed over to a later model unit and the all of front suspension is off of an 87 Chevy truck. The modification allowed for the use of the 5 bolt disc spindles and hubs. I am putting on the A-arms along with Bell Tech 3" drop spindles with a set of Bell Tech springs. This should set the front down about right and clean up the front suspension. This will be tied to the new close ratio steering box froom CPP. I have to get the last pieces for mounting the lower A-arms to the frame and then it should take no time at all.

I found an article in 'Truckin' magazine about a year ago of one of their techs doing the very same thing, so I am copying his install. Has anyone installed any of their stuff, before?

Here is the first set for the change over to the tubular A-arms. This is one of those things that the further you go the more that you see that needs to be done. The next thing is to take off the whole crossmember and get it stripped and powder coated to match the A-arms.

Note the way the PO had decided to do the front end lowering. He had the lower A-arm cut and then boxed to change the postion of the wheel to the spring perch. Not a bad idea, but it looks rough to me.
