when I started hunting for a 67 I had several thing's that were MANDITORY ! had to have's ! or I would pass on a truck , I did not care if I found a fleet or a step but one of my manditory item's if it was a stepside was that it have the fender mounted spare !! that is the ONLY WAY a stepside look's good to me , I wanted to put a hubcap on it same as the other hubcap's on the truck !!!! I ended up finding a cherry fleetside but I love a stepside too !!!

How's this one. Same rules for me when I started my search: Gotta be a stepper - gotta be a 67-68, gotta have a sidemount spare.

W/o side-mount makes for a slicker truck.But,I like the unique character that only comes with a side-mount spare.It`s a truck thing.If I had to explain,you wouldn`t understand.

Re: 67-68 Step Side Pictures

Side mounted spares are not my first choice, I always think military issue when I see them, but a good looking truck is a good lucking truck no matter where you hang the spare. And you will find plenty of the good looking ones here. I wonder if anyone has ever modified the right side fender to carry duel spares?

Re: 67-68 Step Side Pictures

I love the differences in taste when it comes to trucks. I think the spare tire on the fender looks like ass......and I'm sure there are things on my truck that people can't stand. Hell, I don't even have a bed right now!!!!

It all makes the world a more fun place.
