82 tranny linkage

On my 82 chevy. It has a trubo 350. The shifter linkage goes through two holes on the tranny. What keeps the shifter rod attached to the tranny. Cotter pin? Also there appears to be rubber gromment behind the washer ************need to be a paying member to ask to buy************

Re: 82 tranny linkage

Welcome to the site. Order a free catalogue from www.lmctruck.com. The catalogue has great details on parts and location. Yes the linkage is held by a pin.
