67-68 Billet Grill

Has anyone seen the 67-68 billet grill inserts? I've seen a few around, but not very many. Is this a custom made thing or is there a shop who makes them? I really like the look and I'm thinking a bout getting a set, but I don't know who makes it.

I have never seen one, but since I don't have a 67/68 I have not looked that hard for one either. Check with one of the board vendors, they would know if one is available.

I have a set that I purchased for my 68. They are made by TRENZ, www.trenz.com.

I looked on the Trenz website and I didn't 'em. Do you have a stock#? If you don't mind me asking, how much did they run you?

They stopped making alot of their grilles last year.

I went to my local trenz dealer, to purchase a phantom grille for my 72 back in october. He called in to verify they had what i wanted in stock, and even though it's still listed on their website, the rep said they no longer are making them, as well as most of the other 67-72 grilles. they said "once they're gone, they're gone"

I think I have seen them on LMC. The ones they have look just like what is on the truck posted above.

Re: 67-68 Billet Grill

I just did some checking on the box that I have in the garage. The part number is 2189-GP, but there is a problem. I just called the contact number on the website and it appears that Trenz, which is also the Lund corporation, has DISCONTINUED the manufacture of the bar grilles for the 67-68 Chevy trucks.
You wanted to know the price of them, well it is a none factor at this point, but mine cost $145.00. I'm glad I bought them awhile back and did not wait.

The LMC catalog shows a lot of billet grilles, BUT they are for 69 and above trucks. The 67-68 Chevy truck is a specialized setup that noone appears to want to modify.

Re: 67-68 Billet Grill

The guys that owned Trenz sold the company a while back. The new owners stopped making most of their stuff.

Man, that's not cool. Obviously demand wasn't great enough. Thanks for the info . So...would you be willing to offload the one you have???
