Holy Crap! GM figured out how to lift a truck
I don't know how this was done... factory conversion, or whatever, but it looks sweet. Price is too rich for me though... 44K.

Re: Holy Crap! GM figured out how to lift a truck
I drove a 2007 Crew Cab today. Damn is thing is only 2WD but it felt like I was getting into a lifted Z71. Stock ride height.

Re: Holy Crap! GM figured out how to lift a truck
I dont know why the have to make them so high. Unless you have a nice set of rubber then it looks good but from the factory it tough to hook a 5th wheel to

Re: Holy Crap! GM figured out how to lift a truck
I was shocked how high the new trucks sit. It is making my job harder. We have a flange (bolts to a service rig's BOP's and connects to our wireline pressure control) that I have to load into the back of the pickup before we go on a job. The one our crew usues is probably well over 150 pounds, maybe closer to 200. I just got good at loading it into a 2006 1 ton, now I have to find a new technique to load it into a 2007 NBS 1 ton, and it sits at least 2" higher at the tailgate.

WOW! This is WEIRD! I spend a lot of time over on GM-trucks.com as well and a majority of people complain how LOW the NBS trucks are! Especially the 4x4's!
I just thought this white truck was neat. They had a beautiful blue Z71 quad cab. I'd love to have it.

Re: Holy Crap! GM figured out how to lift a truck
The newest body style sits MUCH higher than the Silverado Classic. The customers in my area are loving it because now they sit as high as the F@rds and Dodges.

Re: Holy Crap! GM figured out how to lift a truck
I think GM just had to get with the program and upsize the truck, and ride height to stay competitive in the market. The 2WD trucks would look so nice lowered down just slightly but not slammed with some 20's.

Re: Holy Crap! GM figured out how to lift a truck
the worst part is tht you still cant put any bigger tires on it because of the bumpers and wheel wells are so deep and so close these days, take a 6" lift to rum 33" 12.50", b/s

Re: Holy Crap! GM figured out how to lift a truck
![]() We sold a 2500 4X4 unit recently. 6 inch lift and the biggest tires that wouldn't rub. Almost looks prerunnerish(new word) with the tall narrow wheel wells. They also aren't going to tuck well for the bagged crowd.
