Re: Front Bumper Question

it would fit fine, you would just have to move your turn signals to the bumper

Re: Front Bumper Question

I would get a '68 bumper.....it's the baddest looking front end when the lights are in the grill and the bumper is solid chrome

Re: Front Bumper Question

It would cost more to fix that chrome bumper than it would cost to get a repo chrome one..

Re: Front Bumper Question

The bumper brackets (outer) are different for the 70 and older than the 71/72 bumpers. So unless you have the brackets to go with the later one, you would probably be better off picking up a repo one. I can't really tell from your pictures if you have brackets or not, but thought I would mention it.

Re: Front Bumper Question

Years ago when I bought my rechromed bumper from Golden State Pickup Parts http://www.gspp.com/, they were in the market for used bumpers to refurbish and plate for resale. Maybe they have stamping equipment that could handle yours? Might be worth asking them...

Re: Front Bumper Question

I got my bumper from certifit for $75 and the fit is great.

I wouldn't even waste my time trying to get that one repaired..

Thanks.

Re: Front Bumper Question

I don't know about the $75.00 one but most BB vendors carry one for about $125.00 that is triple chrome plated and very nice.Usually you can get a better deal at a swap meet since a lot of vendors give a special.Plus at the SM you save shipping.

I'm really happy with it, but i don't have a pic at this time. I took it back off my truck a couple weeks ago when i removed the front clip and haven't reinstalled it yet.

the down side is they don't ship, and it appears the closest location to you is seattle.

sorry, I should've checked locations before making the suggestion.
