Progress on '66 Chevy K10

Tin is back from the stripper and in primer. Time for body work, final prep and paint. We are hoping to be headed to the body man within the next week or so. We are putting it in GM Torch Red with a white cap. The interior will be factory PPG, Light Fawn #22151 (I think that is the number). I will post pictures when she gets back from paint and during reassembly.

You're my hero! A bunch of cool trucks and they are all nice... I have a 62 that's 'done' (yeah, that'll never be true) and a 65 in pieces. I hope to one day have them both complete in the same picture like you...Nice work!!

Re: Progress on '66 Chevy K10

You are correct! It started when I was 15 and now I am 42. I hope I still have it when I'm 92! I like the '60-'66 Chevy era trucks, but I am partial to the '64-'66 Chevy trucks and those are the only ones I work on or restore. I'm like the guy that goes to the pound looking for a puppy. After you see one, you think you need to save them all. Every time I see a '64-'66 Chevy truck, I think I need to save it and bring it back to it's original glory. That's probably why I don't have a wife and kids. My girl friend of three years, shall I say ex-girl friend of three years, wasn't that keen on the 4-5-6 Chevy Trucks, thus she is now an ex! No regrets.

Re: Progress on '66 Chevy K10

I am currently on the road for a month at a time with my job, so I am having truck withdrawals, since I can not work on my trucks. I have been limited to posting topics and answering posts. I will be back at my shop for the July 4the holiday. I will make some progress then. Thanks for all the kind words.
