Question Radiator Support Adjustment

Trying to get the radiator support to move sideways so I can get the hood centered. But, when I loosen the mount bolts, pry the support to the side and tighten the mounts the support moves back to where it was.

Any tips or tricks?

Re: Radiator Support Adjustment

When you pry it to move it are you making sure that the rubber grommets and washers are broke free as well??? if they are stuck to the frame and you dont break them loose every time you tighten them it will go back to its original location....the holes in the frame are pleny big enough for adjustment so maybe this is your problem.....good luck with it....

Re: Radiator Support Adjustment

not any real experience with it but i would think you'd need to also loosen up the fender mount bolts to reposition the core support

Re: Radiator Support Adjustment

Fred,

Gimme a holler sometime this week and I'll come over and help take a look if you need.

Most likely the rubber body mount bushings as suggested but I know I've had to release the fenders from the radiator support before on newer trucks when adjusting the centering of the radiator support.
