12 Bolt Question
I am trying to confirm the date code on my 12 bolt J67
Did they make a reuck 12 bolt back in 57? Thanks Bill

No GM didn't make a 12 bolt truck diff in '57. The first year for the truck 12 bolt was '63 and they had pressed on backing plates and 10 spline axles. In '64 they went to bolt on backing plates, and in either '65 or '66 they went to 30 spline axles. Hope that helps.....
