Greenlight Titles?
I'm trying to get my old truck's title caught up to date so I can get a tag and I've been talking with Greenlight Titles. They've got a PO box in Eugene Oregon. Sounds like they might be able to help. Anyone have experience with them?

A google.com and yahoo.com did not return any results matching auto titles. I would do some research via the Better Business Bureau, Dunn & Bradstreet or the Chamber of Commerce in Eugene, OR. Secondly, I would take the advice of others who post here, because some have been through this exercise with variety of results. Good luck. I hope you get clear title to your truck. Tony |

Re: Greenlight Titles?
I remember reading a post about this company a while back. I cant remember if it was good bad or what, but you may want to try posting this question on general discussion to see if someone else remembers

Re: Greenlight Titles?
You may want to dig around your DMV's web site, look at forms, and see how they handle lost, etc. titles.
Here, you can pay companies to get you a title, jump through a few hoops to get a bonded title for less money, or get a new one if you had on and lost it. I got a bonded title for my Chevelle since I bought it without a title... |

Re: Greenlight Titles?
I've done quite a bit of research with the Kansas DMV. I bought the truck without a title, with a bill of sale. According to Kansas DMV documents you are supposed to be able to get a title for any antique vehicle with a bill of sale and an inspection. Sounds easy right? Problem is, they do a 50 state title search and found an existing old title in another state. They say the only way to title it is to find that person and get them to sign the title over to me. But, due to privacy concerns, they won't give me his name.

I didn't know you were from Kansas. I am from Overland Park, KS. In any event, I would put in for a lost title with the information from your Bill of Sale. Contact the person who sold you the vehicle. He may know the previous owner, that holds clear title. If he doesn't know the previous owner's name, he may know the state, where he lives. If you know someone's name and the state they live in, you can track them down. You will have to put on your investigator's hat, to find the correct information, however it may end up allowing you to title your truck. Good luck with the process. Tony |
