New Guy wanted to say hello

Hey guys I just picked up my 2wd last thursday and wanted to say hello. I have been looking for almost 2 years for a nice one to start with. I found an 89k mile truck with very lil rust...Only at the rocker panels so far. Anyway let me know what you think. John

Nice. I like the color and the wheels. I've never seen wheels that come out in the centers like that on a first gen blazer.

Oh yeah, welcome to the board from Seattle.

Re: New Guy wanted to say hello

Well I already stripped the interior....Had very lil rust along the floor pan to Rocker. I have begun cutting out the inner rocker and outer rocker. I bought new rocker boxes also. My rotisserie arrived thursday so I will break the truck off the frame after my 14 days at work. The frame goes to be sand blasted and powder coated also when I get back. Cant wait..

Re: New Guy wanted to say hello

Just read your PM's and yes I know who you are and you know who I am back when we were snot nosed kids driving Volkswagens but do not tell anyone and I won't tell either! I have a 2wd Blazer sitting in the garage as well John with NO rust. I see you picked that up from Craigslist in Houston, was wondering who was going to jump on that Blazer. Get with me before you jump in to that too crazy as the bodies on these Blazer's are tricky. I know how you are John!!!!! Later and welcome to the board.

Re: New Guy wanted to say hello

Make sure you brace your tub really well before you put on rotisserie and do the rocker boxes. Lots of flex in these things. I know you have built several vehicles before but these take the cake. Glad to hear from you after all these years.
