anybody have pics of truck w/staggered wheels?

I'm thinking of running 18's on the front and 20's on the back of my blazer but I'm not sure how it will look. Anybody have pics of trucks with staggered wheels sizes? thanks

Re: anybody have pics of truck w/staggered wheels?

Here's my 82 Blazer with 18/20 VinTecs. I saw a few 67-72 trucks with this combo and thought it would look good on my Blazer. I was WRONG! It looks alright when aired out, but it looked like a tractor puller when aired up to ride height.

Re: anybody have pics of truck w/staggered wheels?

The only rake I personally like is when it comes from larger tires in the back.
Just my opinion of course.
But I wonder if you wouldn't have liked it better if it would have been a little more on the level side? Your Blazer seems more raked than just the wheel size difference would do.

That's because it's aired up. In that picture I didn't have the air suspension on the rear, it was just static dropped.

I was trying to show how it looked with staggered wheel sizes. Here's a pic aired out close to ride height, but it's not as defined as those above-

Now that looks good!
You can definately tell the rim size difference, but thats not a bad thing.

Thanks Adam, but lets not turn this in to a thread about my Blazer, lets get yours lined out. I really think you will be much happier with a set of 20's all around and add the height stagger you want with the tires.

You know I am anal about appearence, and I tried really hard to like the way it looked with 18's and 20's. It just doesn't look right at ride height. The front wheel looks a a 16 or 17 rather than an 18. The difference is much greater than you think.

All of this is compounded by the wheel openings on our trucks. The rear is small, and the front is large. Look at n2billets truck with 17's

I'm really not sure what to do, I dont want to put too much money into this blazer. I've been looking at centerline's overstock wheels and they have 20"s for $170 ea but I dont think the bs will work. Maybe I'll just stick with rally's?

I think his truck looks good with both sets, I think it looks better in the second pic though

Re: anybody have pics of truck w/staggered wheels?

I would be happy with set of 17's on my truck and would go with different tires front and back!I think it also depends on the drop and the desired ride quality! With a static drop and big wheels with 40 or 35 series tires the ride will take every bump to your spine, right?
On airride that would be ok i think!
Am i right?

Here's a pic of 18/20 that I test fitted awhile back... the front needed to go lower.

Re: anybody have pics of truck w/staggered wheels?

I love the look but with over 30" of rear tire(my stock tires are just over 27")- what gears do you run? I'm afraid of making my lazy 305 even worse!!!

same problem I had with my black s10 on 18's and 20's. it looked like the fronts were 16's... I'll never run a staggered wheel like that again.
