i believe if you have a 78 350 without emissions and with a 4bbl you would be pushing an awsome 185 hp
but a 70 chevy 350 truck 4 bolt main would be 250-300 hp ------------------

185 is net rating,
gross rating would be close to same as the 70 350, you have to remember that gross and net are not same, 70 truck 350 was about 175hp(net)(72 were 175 anyways) its basically a tie, not muh of anything differnt between them ------------------ Randy- Lincoln, IL randy@ccaonline.com 2177353230 -71 C-10 350/CH465/3.07, assemble it, yeah right, that'll happen in this world,(not) -84 Z28 Camaro 5.0L 700R4, 3.73, beater, paid way too much for it like an idiot,, -84 Firebird SE 2.8L T-5, rod knocking, dammit,, -82 Firebird 350 4bolt (TBL)/TH350, not running, dammit... buy/sell/hoard/trade most any GM vehicle parts of any kind -parting out: '81 Cutlass Supreme Brougham *Paint is overrated © RSS Enterprises 2000 [This message has been edited by Fast68Chevy (edited April 28, 2002).] |

'75 truck 350s were rated at 160 net hp with the 4bbl. In '75, if you wanted 175 net hp, you had to go with the 400 sb. As stated above, the '70 truck 350 4bbl was rated 255 gross hp, which was 175 net hp. By '75, the motors were starting to be choked by emissions stuff.
