easy A/C question

I'm trying to piece the a/c back together on my '85, and I've got it all figured out except the compressor wiring. The harness I have has two green wires that run from a plug on the firewall down to the compressor. The first green wire goes to one side of the dual spade plug on the compressor (I assume it's the power wire), the other side of the spade plug is a black wire to a ground.....that part's easy.
My problem: The second green wire coming from the firewall is the part I'm stuck on. I have no idea what it is or where it goes! It's got a spade connector on it. Help!!!! Anyone feel like going out and looking at their a/c wiring?

Edit: Here's a picture of the plug on the firewall I'm talking about:

Re: easy A/C question

IIRC, there is a harness that goes along the left valve cover that plugs into the compressor and temp sender, and plugs in there. It has been a while since I have worked on one of those, so my memory may be a bit foggy.

The temp sender wire is green also. That has stayed constant through the years.

Re: easy A/C question

Thanks for the reply! I've already got my temp sender wire though, so it's gotta be something else.

Re: easy A/C question

Maybe these will help? This is on a 77. One wire is dark green and the other is green with a black stripe. The dark green one goes to the compressor.

Re: easy A/C question

Thanks guys! And the light green wire?? The light green wire is the one I'm having trouble with.

Pyro: It looks like you don't even have the light green wire hooked up.....does your a/c work? If the a/c works fine without it, that's all I need to know!

Re: easy A/C question

A/C works great. The truck is mostly unmolested so I'm pretty sure thats factory wiring.
