Dually?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969-...QQcmdZViewItem

Umm...I only see a single rear wheel. Plus they didn't make factory dually's that weren't cab and chassis did they?

Right, the term "dually" is over-used anyway. It is a GM word that is for dual wheeled pick-up trucks. A cab/chassis that is designed for an aftermarket utility box (electric co., plumbing truck, dump truck, etc.) has a shorter axle that fits under the bodyline.

Re: Dually?

this guy tried selling it with the same false comments about a year ago. I e-mailed him for the VIN, and it disproved his claim. He piulled the auction shortly after.
it is a cab/chassis with daul rear wheel conversion option, with a longhorn bed tossed on it.

Re: Dually?

well the auction ends today with no bids as of yet. Guess he's not fooling anyone. And I still only see one rear tire on the drivers side.

Re: Dually?

Well I sent him a message and advised him that it was not a factory dually since chevy did not produce factory dually pick up trucks then. His reply to me was "PROVE IT." So I told him to send me the VIN and I'll decode it. I'm sure he'll probably want more than that since VIN's can be changed and such. Where is a good place to find some info to prove to him he is wrong. I wouldn't worry about it except now this is a challenge to me.
