another orange c10, sayin hello
I've been lurkin around here for a couple months now and just wanted to introduce myself. Picked up a 74 c10 a few months back and am havin a blast tinkerin with it, not to mention all the head nods and various comments from onlookers.
It's nothin fancy with a mild 350 and automatic. Will probably be swapping in a 700r that I have from another project to help the gas mileage. The roof lights and cab spoiler aren't really my style, however I don't think they look that bad. Anyway, thanks for looking and have a good one. |

From the Sunshine State,
Sharp looking stepper, I think the spoiler makes it look good from the rear. That orange looks sweet also !!!

Yah, spoiler and clearance lights are a nice touch, truck is unique and pretty sweet. Here's an idea tho - make that Chevy sign on the spoiler a 3rd brake light, I bet very few folks have one like that, if anyone at all.

Re: another orange c10, sayin hello
Thanks guys! The tonneau cover is actually a piece of 3/4" plywood covered in vinyl, L brackets hold it up, not easily removeable but i'm workin on that.
Good idea with the 3rd brake light, but the LEDs inside of it are white and I can't access them. maybe i'll look into tinting the plastic housing around it red...hmm.... |

Re: another orange c10, sayin hello
Those roof lights are Yankee Lights, model 77 manufactured by my predecessor; Yankee Metal Products Corp; they were a dealer option up through the 80s .... The look great! ... but then again, I'm biased!
