Hey all, I have a 69 C-20 to C-10 project......wait, Before you say "Get off our [post 72 pick-up] page" Let me tell you the highlight of my build....A mid 80's stepside bed! Yes, I love the big 67-72 hoods and the 80's style beds I'm Tubbing the rear and allmost nothing looks better than the fat tires tucked under long strait rear wheel wells!....Ok, now that I'm done "Brown-Noseing , let me ask you this....Does anyone have pics of tail light set ups for this style of bed. I have the stock, well 2 badly dmg. lights. I want the wild stuff. Can you put them directly in the fenders (my tires are 29x18.5 15 mickeys w/ 15x14 cragar dragstars) do they make other styles of bed-mounted tail light (like stock, but better) ...anything will help so thank you in advance., because, If I build the truck right, all they will see is the tail lights so may as well make them extra special

These are what I used. I made my own brackets out of some 2"x 1/4" alumin barstock. Pictures are of the lights pretty dirty. They now look like mirrors after polishing them. They are very nice and very bright. I got them for $37 a piece through NAPA. Trucklite part # 510. Now everyone that saw the old lights versus these understands why i didn't like the originals.

Also...
I used factory mounting points so that if anyone wanted to (HEAVEN FORBID!!!!!) put back the stockers they could. I painted the stock brackets to match the truck. They will bolt right back onIF THEY REALLY WANTED TO

Wow, those look great! A lot of people don't realize that something as simple as a brake light can make-or-brake (no pun intended) the look of the back of your truck! Thank you for your pics and detailed info. It will help me a lot!!

check sirmichael's.com,they have some that weld in for a nicw clean look.you can get them mounted in one of their roll pans too.
