Will i need a adapter plate for my new edelbrock 1406

its for my brandnew crate and the intake is a GM aluminum off of a 305 which had a factory Qjet on it??? thanks

if it has the Q-jet manifold, then YES you will need the adapter, and you must make sure not to get the adapter with the open plenum, you'd need the one with 4 holes.

IMO, if you need the adapter, you are better off spending the $50 extra (edelbrock brand adapter costs around $50) and get a better manifold.

Is the intake a squarebore or spreadbore? THe qjets had a spreadbore and then yes you will need an adapter. IF it is a square bore (all 4 holes line up in a perfect square) then no you don't need one.

I just reread your post and the intake had a factory qjet yes you will need an adapter.
