My high school hotrod
yeah i still have it my dad and i fixed it up around 1984-1985 i drove it for a few years then kinda retired it (after a fresh coat of black paint) to cruise ins and sunny days but it has been neglected for the last 10 years only being moved a couple times. hopefully i will find the time to fix the brakes and put a few miles on it here it is after i got it out and washed it this weekend Mike

Re: My high school hotrod
nah it's a 350 neat story behind it my dad bought a 69 impala custom new in 1969 his mom loved it so he sold it to her in 1971 she kept it up into the 80s then gave it to my aunt who had 2 daughters the girls drove it a few years apiece i think it had about 99,000 miles they had there mechanic service it and it started running rough then started knocking so they parked it they just spent some money on it getting the seat done and the vinyl top replaced several months went by my dad asked them what they were going to do with it he bought it for what they spent on the top+seats i think it was $500 or so we drug it home and started tinkering with it the mechanic had swapped some plug wires and loosened the lower pulley my dad drove it back a couple days later and offered it back to them for his money back but they did'nt want it back.i had a target master that i had pulled out of a 55 that i was tinkering with so we put it in the impala and took out the 300 horse 350 we freshened it up and put it in the truck so the motor in the truck was bought new by my dad it only had a bout 1 thousandth of wear so its still std/std/std with a mild cam sorry for the book

You could let Jerry drive it around for you. No step ladder needed.

Wow...I just got a serious flashback to "Dazed and Confused." Best truck chase in a movie ever.
