DOT air hose PSI?
I have been looking at some catalogs and most DOT approved fittings and hose are only rated to 150psi. Do people run different hoses for 200 psi systems or?? I know you can buy fittings and Nylon hose rated for more but i just have seen people talking about DOT approved hose and thought i would ask..

Re: DOT air hose PSI?
Most DOT components are tested and rated at a safety factor of 2 ... in other words, take the maximum pressure they recommend and multiply it by 2.
You should be fine up to 200 psi. |

Re: DOT air hose PSI?
why do you need 200psi? most setups only require 30-40lbs up front, and 60-70lbs out back.

Re: DOT air hose PSI?
Most compressors are either 150 or 200psi, so the fittings and hoses to and from the tank need to be able to take that psi..
