Instrument Cluster ?

I have a truck that the cluster lights never woked in ( Didn't bother me cause I never drive it at night), but now I want to fix it. All gauges and other lights worked until last week. The temp gauge stopped working. After changing all senders, gauge w/one I know is good and printed circuits, ect., I still cannot get the temp gauge or the lights on the l/h side of the cluster to work. Any suggestions.

Re: Instrument Cluster ?

What kind of condition is the cirsuit board in? this can make a difference. sometimes they get wet and nasty and corrode causing bad connections.

Re: Instrument Cluster ?

I've changed the p/c and even put a cluster from another truck that is running and all gauges and lights working but no luck. Could it be one wire in the harness where it plugs to the back of the cluster?

Re: Instrument Cluster ?

You may want to get a meter and start checking for a short in the wires that goe to the instrument cluster.

Re: Instrument Cluster ?

meanwhile, if you want some replacement stock gauges, let me know, i've got several leftover from my cluster rebuild. next time i'm out, i'll drop em off, or, if you'd rather, i might want to swap for a part of some sort.
