paint removal off of vinyl seats
Do any of you guys have a idea of how to remove paint overspray off of vinyl seats? I tried using degreaser and some paint remover, but am afraid that if I use anything stronger I would damage the color of the seats.

Re: paint removal off of vinyl seats
I have been trying to clean old vinyl seats using paint thinner, lacquer thinner and even acetone. It might bring up a little color but never ruined my '68 seats. Try some lacquer thinner on the back side between the hog rings where it will not show to make sure it won't damage them. Use some course steel wool or scotch brite in the same place to see what it does in compbination with the thinner...it will work.

Re: paint removal off of vinyl seats
I've had good luck using hand cleaner.GoJo or something to remove paint.I have never used it to remove paint from seatcovers though.I'll bet you mask better the next time.
